Dear Friend,

It’s been a month since we came together for RDI’s Heroes of Democracy Awards Gala. Whether you joined us in person in New York or supported us from afar, your continued commitment to our work is deeply appreciated.

The gala provided a unique proof of concept for RDI’s core philosophy of uniting people from disparate backgrounds who share a common belief in democracy. We honored Senator John Fetterman and Representative Adam Kinzinger for their unwavering support for freedom at home and our democratic allies abroad. Estonia’s Prime Minister Kaja Kallas was awarded for her outsized leadership as a cornerstone in the transatlantic alliance. And we celebrated  Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, election workers who performed an ordinary—yet essential—public service under extraordinary circumstances. We were also joined by distinguished guests including Congressman Dan Goldman, Ukrainian Ambassador to the UN Sergei Kyslytsya, General Ben Hodges, and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman.

If you’d like to rewatch highlights from that evening or you weren’t able to be with us in-person, you can find videos from the gala here.

Thank you for your continued support of RDI. As we look to the year ahead, I encourage you to check out our new annual report to learn more about our work with dissidents, educating Americans on liberal democracy, countering dictators and their imitators in the information space, and providing material aid to Ukrainians on the frontlines of freedom. Should you have any questions or feedback, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We value your engagement and input as we work to grow our community.

Best,

Uriel Epshtein
