JOHN,

Unlikely pair? Perhaps. But there’s nothing like a toy on wheels to bring
people together.

Tim was spotted this week cruising around Capitol Hill, showing off one of his
handcrafted longboards. If you didn’t know, making boards is a big hobby of
Tim’s—and this one was built from wood he found on the side of the road.

As he told AOC

, it’s upcycling! Nowthat’s a green initiative we can get behind.

So how did it all start?

The boss says he developed a passion for building with bamboo back in high
school. He read about the thousands of bamboo varieties and how the plant could
be turned into everything from paper to clothing and was totally fascinated.

So, being the Tim we all know and love, he rolled up his sleeves and decided
to give it a go in his own garage. He crafted his first skateboard at a young
age and has been doing it ever since.

Rumor has it a few other Democratic members have hopped on board (pun
intended) for a spin down the halls of Congress—and can you blame them? It’s
not every day you see something smile-worthy on Capitol Hill, which is why
we’re proud to be a part of Team Burchett.

Tim’s not your run-of-the-mill lawmaker—he’s a down-to-earth guy who’s as
grounded as they come, elected by the fine folks of Tennessee to fight for the
basic principles we all hold dear.

Until the next ride! 🫡
