Come join us for a special Memorial Day weekend meeting on SUNDAY May 26th in Lake Forest! We will be having a barbecue at a private home in Lake Forest, and will be joined by Scott Voigts, Mayor Pro Tem of Lake Forest. Scott is a great friend of the club, and we look forward to hearing from him as we kick off the summer in style! Barbecue and drinks will be provided, and there will also be a cigar hour at the conclusion of our program.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to mingle over drinks and appetizers while networking with young conservative professionals. Engage directly with local Republican leaders and activists, and be part of the conversation shaping the future of our community.

It's time for the California GOP 2024 Convention! The CA GOP will be having their convention next month, and this time, it'll take place over in San Francisco from May 17th to 19th at the Hyatt Regency by San Francisco Airport.

We encourage you to come join us for an engaging weekend of networking with party leaders, attending helpful panels and workshops, and taking part in marquee guest speaker events and evening socials.

If you're arriving early for Convention, the San Francisco Young Republicans have a Thursday night social planned at the Exploratorium on Pier 15! Use the LINK HERE if you would like to join fellow YRs for a welcome outing.

On Friday night, former CRP Chairman and longtime friend of the club Shawn Steel will host the customary Cigar and Chocolate Social. This is always a great time, and a great networking opportunity as well with Republican leaders and activists of all ages, so we encourage you to come by and join us there.

Our statewide federation, the California Young Republicans, also has two events set up for Saturday. The CYRF General Meeting will take place on Saturday at 10:15am, and we would encourage all YRs to join us as we discuss state business. Coffee and light breakfast will be provided.

CYRF will also host a Saturday night Reception at 9pm. Our afterparty is always a marquee event at convention, and we always show that YRs are the life of the party. This year's theme is Studio 24/70s Disco, so we encourage you to bring your grooviest attire and join us for a special night with fellow YRs!

We look forward to making a strong OCYR presence at convention, and we hope to see many of you up in the Bay!

OCYR Engage is our civic engagement program designed to encourage civic participation through attending public meetings and driving the public discourse through Op-eds and Letters to the Editor.

If we want to make an impact in our country, state, and community, it's critical that we understand how our civic government works and that we support the Republican movement in and out of elections.

Tomorrow on Thursday May 16th, the Pat Nixon Republican Women Federated will be hosting radio host Steve Hilton for a marquee speaker event at the Yorba Linda Linda Country Club.

OCYR attendees will benefit from the student discount of $20 per ticket to attend the event. This should be a great opportunity to hear from a lively and enthusiastic speaker highlighting important solutions to the problems that plague our state.

The Greater Laguna Beach GOP will be having their monthly meeting on Wednesday May 22nd at 5pm at Mozambique restaurant. They will be hosting Julia Cartwright from TPUSA for a conversation on student life on campus.

Given the well documented troubles in our schools, we thought it might be a worthwhile opportunity to hear directly about the challenges faced by conservative students on campus. If you are 35 or under, there will also be an opportunity for a $250 cash drawing at the end of the meeting!
