BIG NEWS! Today, the PCCC proudly endorses Jamie McLeod-Skinner in the May 21 Democratic primary to take back Oregon’s 5th Congressional District and give it the progressive representation it deserves.
Right-wing dark money is attacking Jamie – who won 49% in 2022 – because they know this economic populist fighter is the only Democrat who can win this rural, swing district.
The path to a House majority runs through this district, 1 of only 11 Republican-held seats rated "Toss Up" by the Cook Political Report.

We were an early endorser of McLeod-Skinner’s 2022 congressional campaign. In that race, Jamie assembled a coalition of working Oregonians from urban and rural communities to trounce a corporate Democrat in the primary, making this district one of the most competitive races in America.
This year, Jamie has amassed critical support from county Democratic parties, labor, and local elected officials from all 7 counties in the district, demonstrating the grassroots power of her progressive message.
Jamie is an engineer, attorney, and former union member known for fighting for working families and challenging powerful interests. Raised by a single mother who worked multiple jobs to put food on the table, Jamie knows the difficulty of making ends meet and has centered her campaign on delivering progress for working people of Oregon.
If elected, she will work to safeguard our environment, strengthen our democracy, and support working families trying to get ahead.
A dark money super PAC has spent more than $750,000 on ads attacking McLeod-Skinner and supporting her opponent.
Thanks for being a bold progressive.
