Dear A.,
Last night was a major victory for our pro-Israel movement — and another vindication of our political model — as pro-Israel State Senator Sarah Elfreth won the Democratic primary in Maryland’s 3rd congressional district, defeating several anti-Israel candidates including one endorsed by Bernie Sanders.
AIPAC members strongly supported Elfreth and United Democracy Project — the AIPAC-backed super PAC — spent significant resources to help Sen. Elfreth prevail following an initial deficit in the polls.
We also had 12 additional AIPAC-backed candidates win their primary races in Maryland, Nebraska and West Virginia, marking 129 total wins for our endorsed candidates so far in 2024.

You can take a look at all the AIPAC-endorsed winners by clicking here . Among our 129 winners are 52 Democrats, 77 Republicans, 10 members of the Congressional Black Caucus, 15 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and 30 veterans of the armed forces.
We have proven consistently that being pro-Israel is both good policy and good politics, and that our community will stand with those who stand with Israel. Your support has been essential to putting us in the position to win these races.
But our work is not done. There are major political battles in the weeks and months ahead, and we must redouble our efforts to ensure Congress remains pro-Israel.
Thank you again, and you can expect to hear from me soon about other critical races we’re engaged in around the country.
Best,
Mark Waldman
AIPAC National Political Director
