Pastors and churches,
As election season approaches, we want to highlight three important dates for you to conduct voter registration drives within your congregations. It's crucial for pastors to empower their members not only to vote but also to vote in accordance with Biblical principles.
According to the Barna Group, a Christian research organization, approximately 80-82 million Christians attend church on a typical Sunday. Out of these, around 27-30 million Christians are registered and vote, while another 25-30 million Christians are registered but choose not to vote. Additionally, approximately 20 million Christians are not even registered to vote. This highlights the need for voter registration tables in churches to encourage and facilitate civic engagement.
One of America's Founding Fathers, Samuel Adams, once said, “Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is… executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.”
If pastors and churches do not speak out against the unscriptural chaos in our communities, then who will?
Watch the video below to learn more about these key dates:
We highly encourage you to do voter registration drives the Sundays before these dates:
1- Sunday May 26th (Sunday before Memorial Day)
2- Sunday June 30th (Sunday before Independence Day)
3- Sunday September 15th (Sunday before the 237th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution)
