** UNAIDS calls for the protection of human rights on the International Day to End Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT)

GENEVA, 15 May 2024—Ahead of IDAHOBIT, celebrated globally on 17 May, UNAIDS is calling on governments everywhere to protect the human rights of LGBTQ+ people, including their right to health. Protecting the human rights of every person, UNAIDS stresses, is essential for protecting public health through inclusive access to health services.
