I know I’ve emailed a fair amount about why protecting the Democratic Senate majority is so gosh darn important.

But today, I want to explain why I’m working especially hard this cycle:

Last year, I was honored to be selected as Vice Chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. In a moment, I’m going to ask you to pitch in to support this work, but before I do, I’d like to explain what this role means and why your contribution is so important.

Since President Biden took office, Senate Democrats have helped deliver real, tangible results: progress on climate change, addressing the cost of insulin and other prescription drugs, improving health care for veterans, and bringing back manufacturing jobs to America.

I’m eager to continue the momentum.

I took on this leadership role so I could do everything I could to defend and expand our Senate majority. Because if we expand our Senate majority, we can keep making progress: ending the filibuster, passing gun safety legislation, codifying reproductive freedom, and more.

It also means I have a greater responsibility to fundraise, to get out there and campaign for Democratic candidates running for Senate, and to support grassroots organizations that strengthen our people-powered campaigns.

As you can imagine, that takes a lot of resources, and experts agree that the upcoming elections are going to be the most expensive in history.
