James, despite some temporary policy concessions from President Biden on Gaza, Bernie isn’t backing down from his advocacy for the Palestinian people.
Bernie was on Meet the Press this weekend again saying the U.S. must end its support for the Israeli military: “Israel has broken international law. It has broken American law. And in my view, Israel should not be receiving another nickel in U.S. military aid.”
Republicans and some Democrats in Congress are trying to restart bomb shipments to Israel immediately, despite Netanyahu’s threats to invade Rafah. The U.S. continues to fund the Israeli military’s atrocities in Gaza, including severe restrictions on humanitarian aid. “The people of our country do not want to be complicit in the starvation of hundreds of thousands of children,” Bernie also said.
President Biden needs to do more — we need a permanent Ceasefire and an end to U.S. complicity in the violence.
Stand with Bernie: Permanent Ceasefire now! President Biden must use his power to end the atrocities against the Palestinian people.
Netanyahu has created a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza — one that will only get exponentially worse if Israel invades Rafah. The Israeli military has killed over 30,000 Palestinians and blocked humanitarian aid so that over a million Gazans face starvation.
Bernie has been calling on the Biden administration and Congress to stop supporting these atrocities for months. Biden took too long to take action and now the GOP and some Democrats are pouncing on the opportunity to say anything but unconditional support for Israel is unacceptable.
But we know that an end to U.S. taxpayer funding for Netanyahu and an end to American-made bomb shipments to the Israeli military is the only way forward.
Add your name: Not another nickel for Netanyahu’s atrocities!
When we organize, we win.
