Dust Bowl 1

This is MAGA Rep. Kevin Hern’s retirement plan for Oklahomans – work until you die. It’s what will happen if Hern’s fight to raise the age to receive Social Security benefits succeeds and Oklahoma’s life expectancy continues its decline.

I'm running for Congress in Oklahoma's 1st District to stop Hern and protect Social Security.

Hern’s 2023 Republican Study Committee Budget called for raising the Social Security retirement age from 67 to 70. That’s not good but it’s even worse for Oklahomans since our life expectancy is age 74.1. Oklahoma is among the 10 states with the lowest life expectancies.

It gets worse if you’re a male living in Oklahoma. Your life expectancy is age 71.5. So, yes – Hern’s retirement plan is that you work until you die.

This campaign is about moving us forward by getting rid of MAGAs like Hern who are holding us back. Social Security is not an entitlement. It’s an earned benefit. My pledge is this - as a member of Congress I’ll fight to strengthen Social Security. I’ll make sure Social Security keeps up with the cost of living and stays solvent. I’ll stop Hern’s efforts to raise the Social Security retirement age, cut Social Security benefits, and privatize Social Security.

I’ll make sure Oklahomans get back what they earned.

Then I’ll start to work addressing the number one factor impacting Oklahoma’s low life expectancy – health care. Oklahoma is ranked 49th lowest regarding health care access and quality. As an Oklahoman that is not something that makes me proud. As your Representative I’ll do something about it.

I'm running for Congress because I want Oklahoma moving forward – not at the bottom of every metric that matters. To get there, we need to strengthen Social Security – not tear it down. We need to address health care failures and stop Oklahoma’s declining life expectancy.

Your donation will be a big step in that direction and in stopping Oklahoma’s Top MAGA politician, Kevin Hern, from raising the retirement age for Social Security.

Let's move Oklahoma forward,

Dennis Baker
