John,
“A Tucson congressman who helped supervise the appointment of five anti-abortion justices to the Arizona Supreme Court now appears to be a victim of his own success…”
We didn’t write this — but we couldn’t agree more.
This is the first line in a new article in The Copper Courier that unpacks Juan Ciscomani’s connection to anti-abortion laws in Arizona [[link removed]] .

Here’s the thing: Ciscomani has tried repeatedly to separate himself from the 1864 abortion ban in Arizona. But he can’t deny the facts.
Ciscomani was one of Doug Ducey’s closest advisors while Ducey was Governor of Arizona. Ciscomani vetted all four Supreme Court judges who voted to reinstate the 1864 ban.
He cheered when Roe v. Wade was overturned, knowing this law was on the books.
He supports the 15-week abortion ban in Arizona, which was set up to allow the 1864 ban to take effect instead.
And he’s voted multiple times to restrict abortion access nationwide.
Arizonans deserve better. That’s why Kirsten will always stand up for reproductive rights in Congress.
This is the most competitive seat in Arizona. Will you make sure Kirsten and our pro-choice campaign can flip it blue by chipping in now? [[link removed]]

Kirsten is a mom, an environmental attorney, and a former State Legislator who has spent the past six years fighting to restore funding to public schools, protect Arizona's natural resources, and make our communities safer.
She’s ready to take that fight to Washington to find common-sense solutions to the challenges we’re facing here in Arizona's Sixth Congressional District.
In 2022, Kirsten lost her race by one of the smallest margins in the country. Will you make sure she can build a winning campaign early by chipping in now? [[link removed]]
