When we are looking for dirt on right-wing extremists in Congress one of the first places we look is within their filings with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

If you aren’t familiar with the requirements of campaign finance law, the basics are simple: every dollar that your campaign raises or spends must be reported to the FEC.

Because of this, journalists and muckrakers like us have uncovered all sorts of campaign wrongdoings simply by looking at the publicly available data that campaigns release about themselves.

When looking at Boebert’s 2023 and 2024 filings, instead of finding new dirt, we uncovered concrete proof that the hard work American Muckrakers PAC has been doing to get her fired from Congress has been paying off.

If you aren’t already aware, we are in the midst of a massive defamation lawsuit against Lauren Boebert, owing to her making false claims about us saying that we are liars and that we fabricated information we released about her past and criminal history.

When we looked at how much she has spent in legal fees to defend herself in our defamation case our jaws DROPPED.

Each of these massive transactions tells its own story. For instance Boebert’s payment to Kevin Cline law was from when we initially filed our case in North Carolina (where our PAC is based) - the judge found the case to have merit and directed us to file it in Colorado.

The August 2023 payments amounting to close to $50,000 to Nussbaum-Gleason PLLC (one of Colorado’s preeminent white shoe right-wing law firms - they often take on religion and abortion cases) were from when Boebert and her lawyers unsuccessfully launched a massive effort to have our case thrown out.

Overall Boebert has burned more than $90,000 USD on our defamation case against her and we have not even reached the trial stage of the litigation yet.

This is all thanks to folks like you who believe that if we just dig a little deeper we can expose Boebert to her voters for who she really is.

Boebert is treading water to stay afloat in a radically new district halfway across the state. With your help this will be the election we unseat her.
