I introduced the Livestock Indemnity Program Enhancement Act, along with Senator Ted Cruz, to help livestock producers in Texas' Thirteenth Congressional District recover from the devastating wildfires that occurred in the Panhandle earlier this year. More information can be found by clicking on the Agri-Pulse article below.

It was an honor speaking at the Texas A&M AgriLife Hemphill County Beef Conference in Canadian, Texas! The historic wildfires destroyed the livelihoods of many of these ranchers, yet they have shown tremendous resiliency these past few months as they rebuild their operations from the ground up. The way that these communities have come together truly embodies the spirit of the Panhandle, and I am proud to represent them on the House Committee on Agriculture. I will continue working with my colleagues on the Committee to ensure Texas’ livestock producers get the support they need in this year’s Farm Bill!

Having the Wichita Falls and Sheppard Air Force Base Delegation in DC was great!
I was honored to hear their concerns and provide updates on legislation that will support small businesses, job growth, and the incredible Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls!

Thank you to the Army Chief of Staff for providing insight into the incredible capability that the Bell V-280 aircraft will provide for the United States Army! The House Armed Services Committee will support modernization efforts like the V-280 in the Fiscal Year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that support our service members! I was glad to hear that the United States Army’s commitment to this platform is ironclad!
|
I am committed to working with the United States Air Force to ensure that America’s military aircraft inventory is fully modernized and prepared to meet the challenges of a future conflict. This includes ensuring the T-7A Red Hawk gets back on track and is delivered to Sheppard AFB as quickly as possible. I was glad to hear that General Allvin agreed with me, and I look forward to working with him to overcome the program’s delays. We must deliver the T-7 quickly for our American and NATO pilots!

The United States Air Force made a great decision to be the first service to start the Nacelle Improvement program for its fleet of CV-22 aircraft. The Nacelle Improvement program has greatly improved aircraft readiness while maximizing fiscal responsibility. This program is a model that should be followed by the other services as well!
I look forward to continuing the conversation with General Allvin about the key role the CV-22 plays for our military.

Special Operations Forces provide the upper hand over our adversaries and are one of the largest advantages in combating our enemies.
Proposals to cut the budget and our personnel would be detrimental to our national security. We must continue to provide the necessary resources to support our Special Operations Forces!

Pantex stands as the sole nuclear explosive assembly and disassembly plant in the United States, playing a crucial role in nuclear modernization efforts. Pantex must be prioritized in the FY2025 NDAA! I shared my concerns with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Charles Q. Brown about the perceived lack of urgency in addressing our aging military infrastructure. Some of the facilities date back to the 1940s, with crumbling ceilings, posing significant concerns for the National Nuclear Security Administration.
|
As a proud member of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Caucus, I was glad to meet with the United States Army Special Operations Command to discuss ways to treat Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Ensuring that our special forces receive the best resources and support is a huge priority for me in Congress!

Thank you to the farmers and ranchers from Texas who came up to DC to discuss the critical issues facing the agriculture industry!
I had the pleasure of participating on a panel hosted by Texas Farm Bureau alongside House Committee on Agriculture Chairman G.T. Thompson, Senate Committee on Agriculture Chairman John Boozman, and fellow Texas Representative Monica De La Cruz.
I will not stop fighting for our farmers and ranchers as they face record-high inflation and burdensome regulations brought on by the woke Biden administration. As we work to reauthorize a new Farm Bill, I am committed to restoring this critical piece of legislation to its true purpose, maintaining production agriculture!

I was proud to host the great people of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce! They are working extremely hard to provide critical resources for our businesses and improve the quality of life for the people of Amarillo and beyond. Thank you for stopping by my office during your visit to DC!
|
Thank you, Dr. John August, Dean of the Texas A&M Vet School, and Dr. Debra Zoran, Director of the Veterinary Emergency Team, for stopping by my office to discuss the critical aspect the Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team plays when responding to emergencies in Texas and around the Nation. Keep up the excellent work!

Thank you to the Latvian Member of Parliament, Rihards Kols, and Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the United States, Māris Selga, for meeting with me to discuss security in the Baltic region and efforts to continue to grow the U.S.-Latvia relationship. Maintaining a strong bond between the U.S. and our allies, such as Latvia, is vital for national security!

It was great to have the National Beer Wholesalers Association visit our office to discuss the importance of ensuring tax certainty for main street businesses, including Texas’ independent beer distributors.

Congratulations to Ashlyn Akemon for winning first place in the 2024 Congressional Art Competition for TX-13! Ashlyn’s piece titled, The Vintage Collection, unmistakably embodies this year’s theme of TX-13, Landscapes and Landmarks, depicting vintage cars in front of the iconic Conoco Station on Route 66 in Shamrock, Texas. Great work, Ashlyn!
The Congressional Art Competition has recognized the artistic talents of young students nationwide since 1982. Dozens of students from multiple high schools across Texas’ Thirteenth Congressional District participated in the competition this year. Submissions consisted of photographs, drawings, paintings, and computer-generated art.

Congratulations to George and Paige Nester of Creek House Honey Farm in Canyon for being named the 2024 Small Business Persons of the Year and to Square Mile Community Development for being named the Community Champions of the Year! Thank you to West Texas A&M and the Small Business Development Center for their vital work in supporting our local businesses and entrepreneurs. The impact these businesses have in Amarillo, Canyon, and the surrounding areas cannot be overstated!

Congratulations to West Texas A&M's Isaac Botsio for dominating the 100-meter dash! The West Texas A&M sophomore has one of the fastest times in the world. Keep up the great work WT! Click here to watch the race and learn more!

I joined my friend Maria Bartiromo to discuss the insanity taking place across our nation's universities with their blatant antisemitism on full display. Watching these anti-American, terrorist sympathizers is disgusting! Where is law and order? Click below to watch the interview:

It is always a pleasure to join my friend Sean Hannity on Fox News. We discussed New York City rats, no, not the politicians, surprisingly! New York City officials have reported an increase in diseased rats roaming the city and infecting New Yorkers causing serious illness and even death. Perhaps, if the city wasn't worried about prosecuting an innocent man, President Trump, then they could focus on protecting their citizens! Click below to watch the interview:

Watch the video below of Joe Biden attempting to close a simple pizza box before abandoning it for one of his handlers to close as he shuffles over to order a milkshake. This is a sad, frail man with rapidly declining cognitive health. We need strength in our Commander-in-Chief, not this embarrassment!
