As both rule of law and democracy decline globally, creative strategies to address these intertwined challenges are urgently needed. That is why WJP is proud to introduce 30 exemplary finalists in the World Justice Challenge 2024, "The Rule of Law: Foundation of Democracy." ([link removed])

Chosen for their demonstrated impact in advancing the rule of law, these changemakers are working locally to reverse authoritarian trends and rebuild trust in democratic governance in diverse communities around the globe.

We combed through 424 submissions from 109 countries, selecting 30 outstanding projects across the following categories:

In August, we will announce which five winners will share a global spotlight and $100,000 in prizes in the World Justice Challenge 2024.
