** A balanced diet of theological reflection
------------------------------------------------------------

Some weeks I write to you with a strong theme or a set of similar articles. Right after a books issue we roll out heaps of book reviews. In October of last year we had a lineup of fascinating features about horror and faith ([link removed]) . But our new articles from this past week are diverse and well-rounded.

Two new Voices columns highlight the humanness of faith. Isaac Villegas talks about his bilingual background and its connection to Babel and Pentecost ([link removed]) , while Julian DeShazier explains his participation in his generation’s tendency to combine Christian faith with other practices ([link removed]) , beliefs, and perspectives. CC books editor Elizabeth Palmer continues our new Trending Topics series with reviews of five books that respond to both climate change and colonialism ([link removed]) . On the Madang podcast, host Grace Ji-Sun Kim interviews Bruce Reyes-Chow ([link removed]) about his exciting new book.

Our video of the week was a delight to record. Abram Kielsmeier-Jones, who recently reviewed R. L. Stollar’s The Kingdom of Children, chats with me about the book and the absence of children from liberation theology ([link removed]) .

Email me: What language(s) do you speak? How does that affect your faith?
