Sporting Clay Tournament

Friday, May 3, 2024

Our 6th Annual Sporting Clay Tournament was a knockout! Friends and agency partners alike joined in for the fun on Friday, May 3rd involving a competitive clay shoot, raffles, prizes, and a silent and live auction, all to raise essential funds to better support and protect

Tarrant County's most vulnerable kids.

Thank you to everyone who participated through a multitude of different avenues that helped us "take aim at child abuse!"

Keep your eye on the target for 2025's Sporting Clay Tournament date!

Alliance For Children's Recent Partnerships with TCU

Over the past couple of months, we've been able to partner with Texas Christian University (TCU) students eager to help us spread our mission across the metroplex, who learned about our work while propelling our efforts. This continued partnership has not only helped us, but has given students an opportunity to expand their knowledge, build on their portfolios, and cultivate passion for child abuse prevention.

TCU students PJ Eby, Megan Lashley, Francesca Brown, and Abby Harrison presented their research and suggested marketing strategies around Let's Play Bingo! to their class.

TCU's student-run Ad and PR Agency - ROXO - worked alongside our staff to create marketing and social media materials around Child Abuse Prevention Month, as well as an adorable sticker and accompanying literature

for use throughout the year.

TCU's Kappa Delta chapter chose us as their local philanthropy and have worked to raise funds through a recent event: Shamrock,

a Kappa Delta Golf Classic.

Kristina Rose's Visit with Alliance For Children

On Thursday, May 9th, Kristina Rose - Director of the Office for Victims of Crime at the U.S. Department of Justice - stopped by our Arlington center for a visit and tour with Chief Executive Officer, Julie Evans, the Arlington Police Department, and other center staff members while in town for the Community Response to Human Trafficking and Child

Exploitation Conference.

It was an incredible opportunity to discuss Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas protocols, best practices, and our mission centered on protecting Tarrant County's children from child abuse.
