Be brave with us, we all need some hope!

Hello Friend,

In our world, big threats, such as climate change, often make us feel
small and powerless. It's easy to get a bit cynical, using fear as an
excuse to ignore the hard stuff. But here's the thing: right now, I'm
inviting you to toss fear aside and grab onto hope.

Hope makes us powerful. And if there's anything we've
learned in the last several years, it's that we can achieve a great
deal when we work together. You can help accomplish so much more when
you start your annual membership with Trust for Public Land.

If you need an example of hope winning out, look no further than
Fishers Peak, an iconic mesa located in Trinidad, Colorado. It's not
just a landmark; it's the heart of the community, a literal icon,
featured proudly in the town's logo. But here's the kicker: before
2019, locals couldn't access the iconic peak easily because it was
privately owned.

Thanks to a great collaboration with our partners, residents now have
a backstage pass to 30 square miles of stunning landscapes, including
the iconic Fishers Peak summit! ?

But wait, there's more! Thanks, in part, to the unwavering support of
our sustaining members, we're making history with a HUGE project to
return land to Indigenous stewardship!

Trust for Public Land has acquired a massive tract of land in the
Katahdin region of Maine, aiming to give back nearly 30,000 acres to
the Penobscot Nation. We're talking about a historic handover, the
largest land return between a U.S.-based nonprofit and a tribal
nation.

This isn't just a land deal; it's a love letter to the land and its
people. This transformative endeavor not only signifies a
significant step towards righting historical wrongs but also stands as
a beacon of hope, demonstrating the power of collaboration and
collective action.

When you start your annual membership to Trust for Public Land, it's
not just a recurring gift; it's a commitment to hope for a better
future full of vibrant green spaces to experience the wonders of
nature.

Hope isn't just a feeling; it's a force that pushes us to do
something. It's the heart of the work we're doing now and the
excitement of what's ahead. Thanks for being a part of it.

Sincerely,
Josh VanDavier
