John,
As we confront the housing crisis gripping our state and nation, I'm reminded of my own childhood experiences and the struggles faced by far too many families today.
From Pacific Beach to Tacoma to Forks, the lack of affordable housing touches every corner of our district, leaving thousands of our neighbors uncertain and vulnerable.
As Commissioner of Public Lands, I've made it my mission to tackle our affordable housing crisis. Through our "All Lands, All Hands, All Together" efforts, we've harnessed the potential of our public lands to provide solutions for everyday pocketbook issues facing our families.
Our approach is simple yet bold: we identified unused land owned by my department and collaborated with local communities to develop affordable housing projects. By leveraging our resources and partnerships, we've made tangible progress to address our housing needs.
In Congress, I’ll continue to fight for affordable housing – by boosting funding for the Housing Trust Fund, expanding the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, expanding credit access for lower-income and younger buyers, and more.
But I can't continue doing this work without you. We’re days away from our mid-quarter FEC goal, and I need your help catching up. Can I count on you to contribute $5 to help close our fundraising gap and reach our $50,000 goal?

Thank you for your commitment,
Hilary Franz
