Just a short while ago, the delegates to Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District Convention officially voted to nominate me as the Democratic candidate on the ballot in November.

I am honored to continue our important work of electing Democrats up and down the ballot in November, to keep this seat blue, and to make a positive impact on the lives of the people of our district in my 4th term.

It is going to be a challenge — just days before our convention, powerful Republican special interests began investing heavily in CT-05 to block our path.

From my very first campaign for Congress, I have always committed myself to working together to bring about the change that our country needs.

In the House, I have worked on the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Agriculture Committee. That has put me at the forefront of the fight for equitable access to quality education, affordable healthcare for everyone, food security, labor rights, and the environment.
