As you probably know by now, Bernie Sanders suspended his presidential campaign yesterday.

What Bernie accomplished over the course of two presidential campaigns is nothing short of extraordinary. He built a grassroots movement that brought millions of people into the political process, led a progressive transformation of the national policy debate, and ushered in the leadership of the next generation of progressive changemakers.

From bringing revolutionary ideas into the mainstream to demonstrating the incredible strength of a movement built and funded by entirely grassroots supporters, Bernie has fundamentally changed what is possible in American politics.

The progressive movement is stronger now than it has ever been because of his leadership.

With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting every aspect of our society, it’s more clear than ever before that our country needs the political revolution that Bernie Sanders has been calling for not just over his last two campaigns, but over his entire political life.

In exit polls in state after state, from California to Mississippi, Democrats are unified behind the big, bold progressive agenda on issues, like Medicare for All, that fueled Bernie Sanders in this race.

The movement Bernie has built will outlast any one campaign, and any one person. We’ll carry his bold ideas and his values forward in the fight for equality, justice, and freedom for all.
