Sharing Information from WA Health Care Authority: Survey of Interest - Weigh in on behavioral health services at Olympic Heritage
Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health, which opened in 2023 in Tukwila, will have up to 40 beds contracted for behavioral health services per funding awarded to the Washington Health Care Authority.
Behavioral healthcare providers, Tribal governments, stakeholders and individuals with lived experience are encouraged to share input on what services are most needed in a survey open now through May 20. This survey will also help identify and inform potential providers.
Survey Background:
The primary focus of the services must address the needs of adults with a history or likelihood of criminal legal involvement, per funding criteria from the 2024 legislative session. One goal of this focus is to reduce the number individuals with behavioral health or other diagnoses accessing treatment through the criminal legal system.
A summary report of this survey with accompanying recommendations will be provided to the Office of Financial Management for approval prior to a request for proposals being issued. HCA will consult with the Department of Social and Health Services about the survey results and recommendations. HCA will also provide a summary of the survey results to appropriate legislative committees.
A request for proposals is anticipated to go out August 1, 2024, with a target start date of the selected program(s) of April 1, 2025.
Please note not all agency networks can access SurveyMonkey, which is where the survey is housed.
