Friends --
As Florida and the entire nation battle the coronavirus pandemic I want to follow up with an update and some resources that can help. I recently self-quarantined after I learned I was exposed to COVID-19. But I have fortunately stayed in good health and am now following statewide orders to shelter-in-place, like millions of others who are doing their part to keep our communities safe and healthy.
I urge all Floridians to stay informed as the fight against the virus continues and to use all available resources to keep yourself and your family well. Here are a few websites where you can find valuable information and assistance:
-- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance on how to protect yourself and what to do if you're feeling ill >>> [link removed]
-- Details on the situation in Florida >>> [link removed]
I recognize this is a time of economic uncertainty and anxiety for many as well. I'll be fighting hard alongside my colleagues in Congress to ensure Floridians are taken care of. For now, if you're facing economic hardship, here are some resources that can help:
-- Florida unemployment assistance guide >>> [link removed]
-- Information on receiving your stimulus check and small business protections >>> [link removed]
Friends, this is a challenging time for all Americans. But by each doing our part we will make it through. Thank you for continuing to follow national and statewide guidelines.
Take good care,
Stephanie
