Hi there, I hope all of the moms and mother-figures had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday.

Each year, Mother’s Day kicks off National Women’s Health Week, a time to encourage women and girls to make their health a priority.

Here in New York, I am prioritizing women’s healthcare — from expanding access to affordable care to protecting reproductive rights.

In the latest state budget, we secured funding to expand maternal mental health care, prenatal paid leave, and support for expecting parents.

As the fundamental right to abortion is in jeopardy at the Supreme Court, we’ve taken steps here in New York to ensure access to women's reproductive health for all.

Now, women in New York can access birth control without a prescription. We’ve stockpiled mifepristone, a commonly used form of medication abortion. And we’re protecting women from out of state seeking reproductive healthcare.

From the start, I have prioritized protecting women’s health. If we want New York to be the best state to live, work, and raise a family, then we need to support women’s health. Please, add your name if you support my efforts to expand women’s health care access in New York. [[link removed]]

Women’s Health Week is a reminder of the progress we’ve made — and need to keep making — to make sure all women can live healthy, safe lives. Thank you for supporting my work to make that a reality.
