John,

You’ve probably heard about PFAS in the news and have learned that they’re a major health concern. New research almost every day indicates that no amount of PFAS is safe.

PFAS are toxic lab-made chemicals pervasive in consumer goods, from nonstick cookware to stain-resistant carpets. They are known as “forever chemicals” because they do not break down readily in the environment, and they have been linked to a wide range of health problems.

So, how do we avoid PFAS in our everyday lives? Food & Water Watch has developed a PFAS Consumer Guide. Take a look and learn how you can minimize your exposure to PFAS, then share it with your friends and family!

In the guide, you’ll find a list of items to avoid and recommendations for safer, PFAS-free alternatives.

Last month, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the final regulations that set enforceable limits on six PFAS in drinking water. These regulations came after decades of community organizing and are a significant victory in the fight to ensure clean water for all.

Yet, they address just six of thousands of these toxic chemicals. That’s why we’re holding the EPA accountable for regulating the entire class to remove all PFAS from our drinking water!

While we continue this fight to protect your water from PFAS, download the PFAS Consumer Guide to minimize your exposure. You can also share the guide on Facebook here:

P.S. Looking for another way to take action? Urge your members of Congress to support the WATER Act and the PFAS Action Act – two critical bills that will work to address toxic PFAS and protect your drinking water: [link removed]

Our research is only possible because of generosity of supporters like you. Power the fight to protect people from PFAS!
