Springtime is here, friend, and as any gardener knows, that means there's work to be done.

After a long day of fighting for Northern Ohio, there's nothing I want to do more than get my hands dirty in my garden.

Gardening takes patience, care, and attention to detail — just like legislating. My roots are here in Northern Ohio, in more ways than one.

Friend, I still live in the same house I grew up in. People from all over the neighborhood recognize it because they've helped me turn my yard into a neighborhood garden that neighbors visit often.

Together, we grow tomatoes and herbs, contributing our time and energy to grow something great for our whole community.

Our work in Congress isn't so different, friend. It's rooted in our community, in the relationships I've made while being a public servant.

I'll never stop fighting for good paying jobs, affordable health care, clean air and water, and a brighter future for Northern Ohio — because it's my home too.
