Montgomery County, Maryland – The county council passed bills that prohibits the sale of flavored e-cigarettes, except tobacco-flavored, in retail stores within a half mile of any library, park, playground or recreational facility and the sale of any e-cigarettes in retail stores within a half mile of any middle or high school.

New York State – Gov. Cuomo signed into law the state’s annual budget which prohibits the sale of all flavored e-cigarettes unless approved as part of an FDA pre-market approval, all tobacco products in pharmacies, and bans coupons and manufacturer discounts and displays in shops.

Utah – Gov. Herbert signed into law a bill that requires retailers that sell flavored e-cigarettes to have tobacco specialty store retail licenses. Tobacco, mint, and menthol flavors are exempt.
