Severe global hunger is causing stunting in 148 million children under five. It’s time to beef up the Farm Bill. Will you help me get the message to Congress? [[link removed]]
Hi John! Christy here.
SCAN’s fourth Day of Action is focused on food insecurity, so let’s talk about the Farm Bill.
As a mom, I know growing bodies need nutritious meals – and I’m all too familiar with how expensive groceries get, too. Take it from me: $6 a day can’t buy enough fresh, healthy food.
But that’s what our nation’s biggest nutrition assistance program, SNAP, provides per child. Meanwhile, in other countries, millions barely have anything to eat.
It doesn’t have to be this way, John . Building a better Farm Bill can help food-insecure kids survive and thrive! [[link removed]]

Congress is releasing Farm Bill proposals as we speak – and critical hunger-fighting benefits are on the chopping block.
John, this legislation is essential for children here at home and worldwide. If lawmakers don’t protect and improve the Farm Bill’s critical programs, the global hunger crisis will only get worse.
Kids in the U.S. need stronger SNAP benefits, while international communities need better support to end chronic hunger and be able to feed themselves.
Please, help me fight for families’ access to nutritious food! Together, we can create a future where every child has food on the table. [[link removed]]
Thanks for stirring things up in Congress,
