You don’t have to wonder if Donald Trump will deny the election results in Wisconsin if he loses again this year. He’s done it before, and he’s already suggested that he’ll do it again.

Make no mistake — our democracy is on the line. This election cycle is already unlike anything our state has ever faced, so we need to prepare like we never have before.

Just last week, Trump said that if he does not believe the results in Wisconsin are legitimate, “you have to fight for the right of the country.” He also refused to rule out the possibility of political violence, saying, “It depends on the fairness” of the process.

The last time Trump made incendiary statements like these, it led to the January 6th insurrection.

Trump will do everything in his power to uproot our democracy and silence voters in our state. In the wake of the 2020 election, he attempted to disqualify almost 240,000 ballots cast for Biden. That’s nearly a quarter million Wisconsinite votes called into question because a candidate doesn’t like who they voted for.
