Justice Democrats

John,

Justice Democrats’ own Alexandra Rojas and Usamah Andrabi recently spoke with The Intercept’s Ryan Grim on the Deconstructed podcast to check in on AIPAC’s assault on the Squad.

The Intercept: Let's check in on AIPAC's assault on the Squad. The Israel lobby failed to take down Rep. Summer Lee. They’ve now set their sights on Reps. Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush.

Last year, AIPAC made it clear that their goal for the 2024 cycle was to unseat the Squad from Congress, and they planned to spend $100 million to do it.

At this point, the Republican megadonor-funded group has already failed, since progressive champion Summer Lee handily defeated her GOP billionaire-backed opponent in April’s primary. AIPAC didn’t even bother spending in her race despite attacking her for her pro-ceasefire stance last fall, because they could see the power of our grassroots movement standing with her.

That’s one primary down, but we’ve got six more to go. Next up is Jamaal Bowman’s highly contested primary in NY-16, which is shaping up to be the most expensive House primary race in history and the most competitive Democratic primary this cycle.

There, AIPAC has already pumped $1.2 million into the conservative challenger’s campaign, and they’re getting ready to drop up to $25 million in attack ads against Jamaal any day now.

Justice Democrats is continuing to keep up the fight to re-elect the Squad, protect our progressive movement, and build our bloc of young, diverse, working-class leaders in Congress. But we can only do it with grassroots support from folks like you.

Pitch in $5 or whatever you can afford today to fuel our work to reject AIPAC and win every Squad member’s primary this summer!
