Learn more about what my office has been up to this week Dear john, To every mother in our community, it is my hope that you felt loved, supported, and celebrated on Mothers Day. Though my son Jordan is no longer with me, I will always cherish being a mom. In Congress, I take that same love and devotion I had for my son and I fight for the health, safety, and wellbeing of every child in Georgia. This past weekend, I was thrilled to host my 2024 Congressional Art Competition at the Lawrenceville Arts Center! In total, 52 high school students from 13 high schools across the district submitted works of art that were on display. Congratulations to our winners Beruhe Fentahun, Madison Algier, and Whitney Yeboah! To learn more about the winning artwork, click here or on the image below. Last week, I celebrated President Biden's signing of a bipartisan bill that will protect children online. I was very proud that this law includes the language of my legislation, the END Child Exploitation Act, which extends the time period that technology companies are required to securely preserve information about child sexual abuse images they report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). I have fought for these protections since I first came to Washington, having introduced the legislation in every Congress since 2019. To learn more about this legislation and what it means for our children, click here. Thank you for taking the time to read this update. It is my honor to serve our community in Congress. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with my office.
