When was the first time you visited a National Park?
The Senate is about to vote on an important bill to expand access to nature for kids. Make sure they hear from you!

Tell Congress to Pass the EXPLORE Act

Dear Friend,
The first moment that made me understand the importance of access to the outdoors was when I was in 4th grade visiting Glacier National Park using the Every Kid Outdoors pass.

I had the opportunity to see the glaciers, but I didn't understand the importance of access to the outdoors until I realized that the glaciers wouldn't be around forever! It was an eye-opening experience as I realized this was an opportunity most kids don't ever get. Ever since then, I've done all I can to ensure that current and future kids can be outside and experience all that nature has to offer!

The Every Kid Outdoors program grants free access to federal public lands and waters to 4th graders and their families. It has been inspiring new generations of children every year in the decade since its inception, including me! Extending the program would guarantee the opportunity for many more children to connect with nature and establish an early and healthy interest in spending time outdoors.

Right now, the Senate is considering voting on the bipartisan EXPLORE Act that includes the crucial Every Kid Outdoors program. This package would promote equity, inclusion, and expanded access to the outdoors and ensure that nature is accessible to people regardless of their income, race, ethnicity, age, or geographic location.

I live in a big city, so there aren't a lot of national or state parks nearby. Although I love going to nearby city parks, some outdoor activities are hard to do in the city. A comprehensive outdoor recreation package would expand access to the outdoors for kids, families, and communities across the country.

We have a small window to bring the Act to the floor for a vote. If it doesn't happen now, it might not be considered for years from now! Make sure your Senator hears from you today and add a personal message for maximum impact.

Your voice is essential in building a future where all children and their families, regardless of their background or where they live, can find solace, joy, and inspiration in nature.

Thank you for your dedication to the outdoors and for being a powerful advocate for change.

With gratitude,
