Biden Withholds Vital Information From Israel in Attempt to Dissuade Them From Rafah Attack

Townhall: The Biden Administration is reportedly bribing Israel to not invade Rafah after the president faced criticism for withholding vital weapons from the Jewish state. President Joe Biden’s administration is offering Israel valuable intelligence on the location of Hamas leaders and the group’s hidden tunnels if it refrains from attacking Rafah. This includes sensitive information that would help the Israeli military locate Hamas leaders. The Biden Administration’s deal also includes providing thousands of shelters so that Israel can build tent cities, as well as providing assistance in the construction of delivery systems for food, water, and medicine so that Palestinians escaping Rafah could have a place to live (Townhall). Guy Benson: So Biden is now withholding military aid AND valuable intelligence from the Israelis during their war against genocidal terrorists who murdered a bunch of Americans & are still holding American hostages. Surreal (X).

Hamas Launches Rockets to Children’s Playground in Israel From Rafah
Daily Wire: A rocket fired by Hamas terrorists from inside Rafah landed in the middle of a children’s playground inside Israel this week, seven months after the terrorist group launched their unprecedented massacre on October 7. A total of 14 rockets were launched at Beersheba on Friday, the first time the town has faced rocket alerts in five months. The IDF located two launch sites inside Rafah and destroyed both of them. During the strike, secondary explosions were detected, indicating the presence of additional weapons and munitions (Daily Wire). Katie Pavlich: Rockets launched from southern Gaza into Beer Sheva this morning landed on a kindergarten playground with kids in the shelter. Less than 48 hours after Biden declared Israel shouldn’t finish Hamas off in Rafah (X).

Biden Sues Iowa Governor for Passing Legislation Permitting Illegal Immigrant Arrests
Townhall: The Biden Administration filed a lawsuit against Iowa over the state taking illegal immigration into its own hands. The Justice Department in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa claimed that Gov. Kim Reynolds’ (R-Iowa) law violates the Constitution. On the contrary, the governor said the law is necessary to keep residents safe amid President Joe Biden’s reckless border policies. “Iowa cannot create its own immigration system. Its efforts, through SF 2340, intrude on the federal government’s exclusive authority to regulate the entry and removal of non-citizens, frustrate the United States’ immigration operations, and interfere with U.S. foreign relations,” the lawsuit read. The bill, signed into law last month, illegal immigrants would be found guilty of a Class C felony, facing up to ten years in prison for illegally entering the country if they were arrested for committing another felony. However, Reynolds vowed not to “back down” against the Biden Administration’s threat (Townhall). Kim Reynolds: The only reason we had to pass this law is because the Biden Administration refuses to enforce the laws already on the books. I have a duty to protect the citizens of Iowa. Unlike the federal government, we will respect the rule of law and enforce it (X).

Border Patrol Detain Record Number of Illegals Along the Northern Border
Center Square: Despite being stretched thin and understaffed, Border Patrol agents at the northern border continue to apprehend a record number of illegal border crossers. In the busiest northern border sector of Swanton, Border Patrol agents made history by apprehending the greatest number of illegal border crossers in sector history of 1,109 in March. While the numbers are significantly lower than those apprehended at the southwest border, they are out of the ordinary for the northern border and its busiest sector. By comparison, agents apprehended 37 illegal border crossers in March 2021. Those they apprehended in March 2024 came from 40 countries. In one week, agents apprehended 492 illegal border crossers, more than the total apprehensions for all of fiscal 2021 of 365 (Center Square).

Donald Trump Rallies a Crowd of 80,000 in New Jersey
Townhall: Former President Donald Trump’s vice president list is picking up speculation after a surprise guest joined the 2024 hopeful at his massive New Jersey rally. Flying in on the former president’s “Trump Force One” campaign plane, Gov. Doug Burgum (ND) was seen exiting the aircraft after it landed in a deep-blue state Saturday afternoon. An April Axios report revealed that Burgum has quickly moved up Trump’s vice president shortlist, believing he could be a safe choice who could attract moderate voters. New York Judge Dismisses Executive Order Protecting Female Athletics
CBS: An executive order banning transgender athletes from participating in women’s and girls’ sports at Nassau County-owned facilities was struck down by a state Supreme Court judge on Friday. The judge ruled that County Executive Bruce Blakeman didn’t have the authority to issue such an order. Blakeman responded to the decision in a statement, saying, “Lack of courage from a Judge who didn’t want to decide the case on its merits. Unfortunately, girls and women are hurt by the Court.” On Feb. 22, Blakeman signed an executive order that would require any sports team seeking to use a Nassau County facility to provide information on “the biological sex at birth of the team members/participants.” The order also stated that the county would deny permits to any women’s or girls’ sporting event with transgender participants. The ban did not apply to men’s teams with transgender athletes (CBS). National Review: The order sparked a back-and-forth between Blakeman and state attorney general Letitia James, who ordered the Nassau County executive to rescind the trans-sports ban in March. James said the order was in violation of the state’s anti-discrimination laws (X).

U.S. Debt Grows Past $34.5 Trillion
NewsLooks: America’s federal debt has reached a staggering $34.6 trillion. House Speaker Mike Johnson prioritized establishing a bipartisan commission to address the growing debt. More than six months later, the proposal has faced opposition from both political extremes and appears unlikely to pass. The reluctance to address necessary fiscal tradeoffs—higher taxes or reduced government benefits—has stalled progress. Democrats fear cuts to Social Security, while Republicans view the commission as a potential for tax increases, calling it a “tax trap” (NewsLooks). Associated Press: The collapse underscores an unyielding dynamic in Washington, with lawmakers in both parties loath to consider the unpopular tradeoffs that would be necessary to stem the nation’s swelling tide of red ink — particularly in an election year. Lawmakers have time and again done what they do so well: punt the problem to the next Congress. And they seem poised to do so again (Associated Press).

North Korea’s Kim Jong Un Oversees Rocket Launching System Test
ABC: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised another test firing of a new multiple rocket launch system the country plans to deploy to its forces starting this year in part of its move to bolster its lineup of weapons targeting South Korean population centers. North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency said Friday’s test confirmed the “advantage and destructive power” of the 240-millimeter multiple rocket launcher and its guided shells. The agency said the system will be deployed to combat units from 2024 to 2026 to replace older weapons. North Korea in recent months has maintained an accelerated pace in weapons testing as it expands its military capabilities while diplomacy with the United States and South Korea remains stalled (ABC). Reporter Mario Nawfal: NORTH KOREA: WE LOVE OUR NEW ROCKETS…AND RUSSIA WILL TOO! Kim Jong Un showed off his new 240-mm multiple rocket launcher, raising concerns about him sending them to Russia for use in Ukraine. Kim has overseen tests of new weapons systems on an almost weekly basis as he ramps up the rhetoric about reunifying the country (X).

Gay Men File Lawsuit Against NYC for Being Denied IVF Treatment
This is the definition of a frivolous lawsuit. NBC: A gay couple filed a first-of-its-kind class action lawsuit against New York City on Thursday alleging that the city’s health insurance plan is discriminatory because it doesn’t cover in vitro fertilization, or IVF, for male couples. The lawsuit is the latest development in what has become a yearslong effort by the couple to get the city to change its IVF benefits, which the couple argues makes accommodations for heterosexual and lesbian couples, and for single women (NBC). Townhall: The city denies IVF benefits to gay men because it requires employees under the health care plan to meet its definition of infertility to qualify. The city’s definition of infertility is the inability to conceive a child through male-female unprotected intercourse in a consecutive 12-month period or through intrauterine insemination, or IUI. Lesbian couples and single women who undergo IUI and do not become pregnant can qualify as infertile (Townhall).

San Francisco Spends Millions of Taxpayer Dollars to Give Alcohol to Homeless Alcoholics
Daily Wire: San Francisco is spending around $5 million a year to give vodka shots and glasses of beer to homeless people with severe alcohol addiction in an effort to cut down on calls to police and hospital stays. The city’s “managed alcohol program” started during the COVID pandemic, but came under fire earlier this week after Adam Nathan, the chair of the Salvation Army San Francisco Advisory Board, posted a thread on X, saying he “stumbled upon the building where they have this program” (Daily Wire). Adam Nathan: The whole thing is very odd to me and just doesn’t feel right. Providing free drugs to drug addicts doesn’t solve their problems. It just stretches them out. Where’s the recovery in all of this (X)?
