Just this past fall, the Supreme Court heard dangerous arguments on gun cases that could severely exacerbate the gun violence epidemic sweeping our nation. We need Congress to act now more than ever before the Court opens the floodgates to more domestic terror.
President Biden has proposed to enhance the safety of our communities by expanding background checks for firearm purchases, including at gun shows and online sales. And this important step forward must be coupled with a Congressional ban on assault weapons.

Senseless gun tragedies have plagued our country in the past few decades and it’s time we put an end to them. Closing this loophole and banning assault weapons means fewer guns in the wrong hands.
