Friend: In a minute, I’m going to ask you to chip in $24 to support WisDems. But first, I want to talk about our once-in-a generation opportunity to revive our democracy.
In most states, there’s a system called democracy, where people are elected to the state legislature to represent constituents and held accountable for their successes or failures at the ballot box.
Wisconsinites haven’t lived in a state like that for a long time.
When Republicans won a trifecta in 2010, one of their first orders of business was to rig our state with one of the worst partisan gerrymanders in the country – effectively taking away our right to hold our “representatives” accountable.
Since then, the WisGOP has used their gerrymandered majorities to:
- Block funding to clean up forever chemicals and ensure safe drinking water
- Prevent us from addressing the opioid crisis and save lives
- Jeopardize our university system
- Prevent rural hospitals from staying open
But now that we’ve ended the GOP gerrymander – now that we’ll have new, fair maps this November – we finally have the opportunity to fight back.
After 13 long years, our moment has come to revive our democracy, take back our state, and give Wisconsinites the representation we deserve. And we can’t afford to waste it. So I’m personally asking you: Can you chip in $24 to help us build our resources, invest in statewide organizing, and meet this once in a generation moment?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process now.

If we play our cards right, we can elect values-driven leaders who will fight for clean drinking water, great public schools, accessible medical care, and an end to the opioid crisis plaguing our state.
But it all comes down to you, friend. Every grassroots donation helps us hire organizers, train poll workers, build our outreach efforts, and make sure that every Wisconsinite knows just how much damage the last 13 years of WisGOP rule have done to our communities.
If you’re ready to revive democracy this year, chip in $24 – or anything you can – to join our fight.
Thank you, friend.
