John,

Canada’s fertility rate has hit a record low.

Canadian women are now having on average 1.3 children, which is far below the level of 2.1 children per woman necessary to maintain our population.

There is no such thing as an optimal population level of course. We can adapt.

However, healthy and dynamic societies usually reproduce and renew their own population.

They don’t massively import foreigners to replace them because they’re not having enough babies, with all the economic, social and cultural disruptions that this inevitably brings.

There are many reasons why young adults today are not encouraged to settle down and start a family.

One of the most important is the cost of housing.

Single-family houses with a nice backyard where you can raise children have become totally out of reach – in large part because of mass immigration.

It’s a vicious circle.

Mass immigration is pushing up housing prices, which discourages young couples to have children, and the collapsing birth rate is then used as justification to bring even more immigrants.

John, we must stop this insane cycle of social, demographic, and economic self-destruction!

Our governments should care more about facilitating motherhood than facilitating immigration.

The People’s Party is the only party that cares more about helping Canadian families than about importing millions of immigrants to Canada.

If you want families with children to once again become a priority in Canadian politics, I ask you to support the PPC today <[link removed]> by donating any amount you can afford.

And of course, I wish a happy Mother’s Day to my lovely mother Doris and to all the wonderful mothers who gave the gift of life!

Best regards,
-Max
