Friend,

This Mother’s Day, I wanted to share a quick note of appreciation. I’ve spent my life around great moms, including my own mother, Judy, and my wonderful wife, Mary. As your Congressman, I’ve seen how hard-working mothers hold communities and families together. At science fairs, little league games, high school graduations, and Eagle Scout ceremonies, I’ve watched proud Connecticut mothers rejoice in the achievements of their sons and daughters.

Mothers are nurturers as well as providers, confidants, and role models. This Mother’s Day, I’m thinking of all the biological mothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, adoptive mothers, and mother figures across Connecticut. I’ll be reaching out to some of the amazing moms I know today, and I hope you’ll do the same. It's because of them that the next generation of Americans will stand taller, see farther, and reach higher.
