Happy Mother’s Day, friend!
I’ve held a number of jobs over the course of my career, from tackling homelessness to combatting school dropout rates here in Las Vegas. But no job kept me awake at night more than motherhood!
Of course, I did my share of midnight diaper changes and monsters-under-the-bed checks. But I’m really talking about all the nights I laid awake, thinking about all the ways I wanted to make the world better for my kids.
And now, as a member of Congress, I spend my days fighting to improve the lives of kids and families across Southern Nevada. That’s why I’m fighting to make sure that every young girl has the same rights and freedoms I had.
To maintain the natural beauty of our state for future generations, free of severe droughts, storms, and wildfires.
To establish an education system that helps the students of today become the compassionate, responsible leaders of tomorrow.
To build an economy that works for working people and gives every child the opportunity to thrive.
