Jack xxxxxx, I’m a proud Democrat — but that doesn’t mean I can’t admit when Republicans do the right thing.

So let me be clear: Speaker Johnson did the right thing by allowing the House to pass critical aid for America’s closest allies.

The only people who are upset about Speaker Johnson’s bipartisan outreach and America’s leadership on the world stage are Vladimir Putin, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and her entire Pro-Putin Caucus.

At the end of the day, Democrats are always ready to work with reasonable Republicans. As long as Speaker Johnson wants to work, Democrats will listen.

But the simple fact of the matter is that a vast majority of Speaker Johnson’s majority is made up of unserious, extreme demagogues who don’t have the country’s best interests at heart.

That’s why, even though Republicans may have done the right thing this time, I’m as committed as I’ve ever been to restoring our Democratic House majority.
