My mother is an incredibly special person. Growing up, she taught my three sisters and me to follow our dreams, to always tell the truth, and to serve others.
When my father passed away in 2019, he had one request for me: Take care of your sisters and take care of your mother.
Part of the reason I’m running for Congress is to be a voice for not just my mother and sisters but for all Pennsylvania women who have been left behind by MAGA extremists like Scott Perry.
It’s no secret that right now reproductive rights are under attack in our country. From rolling back Roe v. Wade, to the dozens of states that have implemented statewide bans, to our very own Congressman Scott Perry — who has co-sponsored a national abortion and IVF ban every Congress since 2018 — Republicans are trying to legislate who should and should not become mothers. To that I say, enough is enough.
It’s time we send a champion for bodily autonomy to Congress to fight for women’s rights. Rights that our mothers, aunts, sisters, and friends fought so hard for us to have.
Today on Mother’s Day — and every day — I promise to fight for all women regardless of their sexuality, religion, race, or socio-economic status. Because every woman deserves the opportunity to choose how to best build her family.
Happy Mother’s Day!
