First off: Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, grandmas, and mother figures!

Before I head out for breakfast with my family, I wanted to send you a quick message to explain what’s at stake this year. If you don't have time to read through, a donation of $5 or more to the DCCC would go a long way.

I’m a Congresswoman.

I’m the Chairwoman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

But I’m also a mom and a grandma.

I feel a responsibility to my children and granddaughter – and every kid out there – to leave them a country and planet that’s better than I found it.

For me, that means:

– Stopping the Republicans’ war on reproductive freedom.
– Passing gun safety laws to protect lives, not NRA profits.
– Defeating extremists who deny the climate crisis.

Please believe me when I say: There couldn't be more on the line in this election. I’m fighting for our families, but I can’t do it alone – not when Republicans have raised nearly $125 MILLION to hold on to their dysfunctional Majority. I’m calling for 24,793 Democratic gifts from your state before our mid-month deadline expires to outraise Republicans and help Democrats flip the House. I’ll be honest: I don’t like asking you for money.

But this election is too important.

Republicans are itching to undo all the hard-fought progress we’ve won – and they’ll keep sacrificing our children's futures for their personal gain if we can’t fully fund our plan to take back the House.

Securing our cash advantage now is our BEST chance to defeat the GOP and their dark money donors in this election.

So as the Congresswoman, and mom, in charge of restoring our Democratic House Majority, I’m humbly asking on this Mother’s Day: Will you fight with me before our mid-month deadline in 4 days? I’m calling on 24,793 Democrats from each state to rush $5 to the DCCC to help close the budget gap, win this election, and rescue our kids’ futures. >> [link removed]?
