Hi JOHN,

I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day with your family and loved ones! I wouldn’t be the person I am today without my mother Suzanne, or Julia - my wife and the mother of our wonderful children. We count on mothers to provide kindness, empathy, and support, even during challenging or stressful times. They sacrifice so much for us, and we hold immeasurable gratitude for all the encouragement and love they’ve shown us.

As a public servant, I feel that we have a distinct responsibility to work towards a society that supports our mothers and treats women as equal partners. We need strong schools, affordable childcare, and access to healthcare for all. When mothers are supported, we all do better.

I hope you’re able to spend time with your family today, enjoying time with loved ones and creating memories. It’s a beautiful time of year to enjoy Rhode Island’s natural beauty and celebrate our mothers!
