Hey everyone, Happy Mother’s Day!! Growing up, my Mom was my rock. She always believed in me and told me I could be anything and everything I set my mind to. She fostered a sense of confidence that I needed to get where I am today.

My Mom helped me get back on my feet after getting caught in the throes of addiction. She was a nurse, so she knew I needed her support to get through it.

Today is a day to honor and celebrate all the mothers out there who have done so much for all of us. My wife, Amber, is an incredible mother and still surprises me every day.

We have the most beautiful family I could have hoped for, and I’m lucky to have been raised by a strong, compassionate woman.

Today should also be a day where we reflect on what mothers go through for their children, and how we as a country and a state can better support them.

We have the policy tools to improve mother’s lives. Paid family leave, affordable, accessible childcare, and the right to choose WHEN you become a mother are positions that I wholeheartedly support and will fight for in Congress.

This Mother’s Day, I’m recommitting myself to those efforts, and to taking better care of our mothers in the Fourth District, in Colorado, and across the country.
