Michael and his three daughters are celebrating Susan today. She is the best mom to Caroline, Halina, and Anne — and of course, Bandit and Captain Flint.

Today, we also recognize the challenges that too many mothers face in our country. In an economy designed to work for the people at the very top, too many working moms are left struggling to make ends meet to support their kids.
That’s why Michael is working to expand the Child Tax Credit permanently.
When Congress temporarily expanded the Child Tax Credit in 2021, it cut the child poverty rate nearly in half and benefitted 16 million kids. It meant that moms had just a little extra money for school supplies, a new winter coat, and school lunches.
Congress failed to renew the expansion in 2022 — but Michael hasn’t given up.
