John — Happy Mother’s Day! To all of the moms who are the everyday heroes.

I am humbled and truly grateful to be your Congresswoman and can assure you that I will always advocate on your behalf and moms and families will not be left behind.

I honor moms by pushing for legislation like the expanded Child Tax Credit which cut child poverty in half. Fighting for things like women’s reproductive health, expanding Medicaid coverage for mothers and children and expanding SNAP and WIC for Women, Infants, and Children are just a few more ways I show my appreciation for all that our mothers do.

Today, I want to reaffirm my commitment to all of the moms out there. As a mom, I believe it is critical that the Congress has more representatives who understand the realities of raising kids. That is how we will advance policy that helps ALL moms and make the lives of their children better.

Thank you, moms, for all that you do. Take the day off…you deserve it.
