These trying times are a pertinent reminder of the importance of social solidarity and strong safety net programs. This is why filling out the Census may be more important now than ever. It takes less than 10 minutes to fill out the Census, but its effects will last for at least the next 10 years. From education to public health to food security, the Census will help Alabama secure adequate funding for programs that make our state a better place to live. Filling out the Census is fast and easy. During a recent Arise virtual staff meeting, we all showed how many minutes it took each of us to complete the online Census form. It wasn’t long!  If you haven’t already, please click here to fill out the Census today. Alabama’s response rate is off to a strong start, but we have now fallen slightly below the national average for responses. So let's all tell our families and friends to take part and help increase those numbers!
