Let's honor mothers everywhere.

Dear Friend,

This Mother's Day, we recognize moms
everywhere who have offered their love and support, acted as
caregivers, or are bravely living with Alzheimer's disease or another
dementia. We also take a moment to reflect on the time we spent with
those who are no longer with us, whom we'll always cherish.

As you may know, Alzheimer's has a
disproportionate impact on women. In fact, of the nearly 7 million
people living with Alzheimer's in the United States, 4.2 million are
women. While this may be because women live longer than men on
average, researchers are investigating whether there are other
biological or genetic factors at work.

This crisis is growing - and the
reality is that everyone's at risk. That's why we're dedicated to
helping the millions of people impacted by Alzheimer's by providing
care and support and advancing research toward methods of treatment,
prevention and, ultimately, a cure.

For mothers and women everywhere, we
vow to keep up the fight until there's a cure for Alzheimer's. That
fight continues with you. It's your commitment as a member of the
Alzheimer's Association community that helps further our mission to
lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by
accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early
detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

We know Mother's Day can be difficult
for those who have experienced loss and for families who are currently
caring for someone living with the disease. If you're living with
Alzheimer's or are in need of care or support, we're here all day,
every day. You can reach us at our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900)
or find online resources at alz.org, like our

local resources in your community. You're not alone.

There are currently no survivors of
Alzheimer's, but we're fighting so that, one day, there will be. When
you stand with us in this community, you pay tribute to those who have
fought this disease, those fighting it today and provide hope for the
future generations we want to protect.

Thank you to all the amazing women in
our lives - especially those we call mom. And thank you for your
commitment in the fight against Alzheimer's.

Sincerely,

Donna McCullough
Chief Operating Officer
