Dear John,

On Monday, the Minnesota House will vote on the so-called "Equal Rights Amendment." After that, a concurrence vote in the Senate would be all that is required for this dangerous proposal to be placed on the ballot. It is urgent that you make your voice heard NOW in opposition to this amendment.

This alert will help you send a message to your Minnesota Representative and Minnesota Senator respectfully sharing your concerns.

WATCH - Our Rally Against the ERA

By banning discrimination on the basis of "gender identity or expression," this bill would allow males to enter female-only accommodations such as sports teams and changing facilities. And that's not all: by banning discrimination on the basis of "pregnancy," progressives are attempting to add protections that would create a right to unfettered access to abortion on demand into the Minnesota Constitution.

"The state shall not discriminate against any person in intent or effect on account of one or more of the following...sex, including but not limited to: making and effectuating decisions about all matters relating to one's own pregnancy or decision whether to become or remain pregnant; gender identity or gender expression; or sexual orientation.

- Proposed ERA Language

You may have noticed something that is NOT in the proposed amendment: religion. If the Legislature wants to protect rights, it should include religious freedom, to make it clear that the Minnesota Constitution gives religious individuals and organizations the same protections as other categories, and protects the ability of those organizations to operate and live consistent with their religious beliefs.

Please take a few moments to let your Minnesota legislators know where you stand and ask them to OPPOSE the ERA.

Tell my Legislators: Vote NO on ERA

On Wednesday, we held a rally at the Capitol where more than 500 Minnesotans gathered to express their opposition to the ERA. I was privileged to speak in defense of women's athletics, just one of the many things threatened by the ERA. You can watch the full rally HERE, and my remarks HERE.

If you can join us at the Minnesota House in St. Paul to pray and make your voice heard on Monday, please do. The floor session starts at 11 AM. A limited number of spaces are available to view the House floor session from the 3rd floor gallery. You should arrive by 10 AM if you want to sit in the gallery. If there is high demand, tickets will be available from the Sergeant-at-Arms. If the galleries are full, or if you prefer to be outside the House, join us outside the House chambers for prayer and peaceful protest. Please wear red and bring your pro-life, pro-family, and pro-religious freedom signs!

If MFC's work at the Minnesota State Capitol reflects your values, please take a moment to donate or subscribe/update your information.
