Friend,

Many immigrants across the country are currently working on the front lines of the Coronavirus pandemic.

They are the doctors, nurses, and medical staff in hospitals. They are the farmworkers picking and processing our food. They are the tech workers supporting our telework needs. They are the construction workers building hospitals and other health care spaces, and they are the janitors and housekeepers keeping our spaces clean and sanitized.

It is an unacceptable contradiction that so many of these workers are considered "essential" while remaining undocumented and unsupported by our social safety systems. They often do not have access to health care, paid sick leave, or job security.

The national coronavirus stimulus package that was passed by Congress last month DOES NOT include undocumented workers. This means that undocumented immigrant workers will not receive any of the benefits from the $2 trillion dollar package even though they pay $12 billion in taxes every year.

But there are ways to help them. We at America's Voice are fundraising for two funds that help immigrant workers: United Farm Workers and the National Domestic Workers Alliance. Donate today. [link removed]

United Farm Workers is the nation's first and largest farm worker union, which works to protect immigrant farm workers. Donations will help ensure that farm workers putting groceries on our tables and protecting our food security are protected during this pandemic.

The National Domestic Workers Alliance fights for the rights of domestic workers in the United States. Their coronavirus care fund provides a safety net for in-home care workers, nannies, and house cleaners, who may be out of a job or unable to work safely during this time.

Any and all funds that you donate will be split between these two organizations. Please donate today. [link removed]

President Trump and his administration have been doing everything in their power to make sure the work of immigrants during this time goes unnoticed. They continue to blame immigrants for the pandemic, use racist rhetoric such as calling the pandemic "the Chinese virus," and closing down the southern border to asylum seekers even though they have nothing to do with the virus. The administration continues to demonize the same workers who are keeping our nation running.

We owe immigrant workers across the country, working in all fields, our gratitude and support. If you can, please donate today. [link removed]

Thank you,
