Before I became a Congresswoman, I became a mom, and I’m not that different from most moms.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the world our kids are living in now, and what kind of world we’re providing for them in the future.

My greatest mission in life is to create a world for my children and grandchild that’s better than the one I grew up in.

As Democratic House Party Chair, I’m leading the fight to make life better for all Americans and push back against extreme right-wing policies that are hurting our families.

My mom was a pioneer and an entrepreneur.

Throughout my career as a businesswoman and public servant, I’ve always kept my mom’s determination to make this world a better place close to my heart.

This Mother’s Day, I‘m thinking about all the women who are suffering because of outdated, dangerous, and inhumane MAGA Republican policies.

I’m thinking about the moms who’ve lost a child to gun violence because Republicans would rather bow to the NRA than take meaningful action.

I’m thinking about the women who’ve had the freedom of when, how, and whether to become a mother stripped away from them because of Republican efforts to police women’s bodies.

I’m thinking about the moms struggling to put food on the table who stay up at night worrying about their children’s futures.

I refuse to sit by and let Republicans push a far-right agenda that hurts women and families.

That is exactly why I am leading Democrats to fight back, stand up for working families, and reclaim our majority this election – but I can’t do it alone.
