I’m just going to state the obvious: Donald Trump is attempting to hide his anti-abortion stances ahead of the 2024 election because he wants to win — and he knows that the anti-abortion agenda is extremely unpopular. But he can’t run from his record:

  • He appointed anti-choice Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade
  • He’s boasted about being the president who “got rid of Roe v. Wade
  • He said there has to be “some form of punishment” for women who get abortions
  • And he’s also said he wants to let states monitor women's pregnancies so they can know if they've gotten an abortion

And by the way, when asked point-blank, he has refused to say he would veto a bill that imposes a nationwide ban.

Trump is responsible for the appalling state of abortion rights in America. Full stop. Trump overturned Roe, and his right-wing extremist allies are ready to go even further and block abortion access nationwide.

Conservative groups that support him are laying out plans that outline how they can leverage government agencies and executive orders to slash abortion rights without Congress involved. And they’re taking it to extreme levels: no abortion rights, no mailed abortion medication, no IVF, no contraception access — in both red and blue states.

It’s no secret that Donald Trump is an anti-abortion extremist. And when I say abortion will be on the ballot in 2024, I mean it. So can you please split a contribution between the Biden-Harris campaign and our re-election campaign to strengthen our abortion rights movement and prevent MAGA extremists from passing these radical plans?

After November, we face two paths. If Trump wins, extremists will come for abortion rights in every state. But if we re-elect President Biden with a Democratic Congress, we can ensure reproductive freedom across the country. We have to stay in the fight, and we have to win.

I also want to underscore that President Biden is not just saying, “Give me a House, give me a Senate, and we’ll make Roe v. Wade law of the land.” That is an important priority — but he’s also been fighting for this in additional ways. For members of the U.S. military who are stationed in states that ban abortion, President Biden has made sure that they will still have access to reproductive care. The VA has started expanding its services for abortion care for veterans. And President Biden is fighting in the courts right now, making the argument to keep medication abortion available everywhere.

There is no sharper contrast between the two people who are running for president than there is on abortion. I’ll keep saying it: Abortion is on the ballot this year.

So I’m going to pull on every lever to fight for the right to an abortion nationwide. That means campaigning against MAGA Republicans' out-of-touch extremism in order to prevent their plans for a national ban. That means electing pro-abortion Democrats in the Senate and ending the filibuster so we can codify Roe v. Wade into federal law. That means reversing the right-wing takeover of our Supreme Court by working to expand and rebalance it. That means supporting local candidates and ballot measures that will defend abortion rights at the state level.

And that means making sure President Biden wins and we prevent Donald Trump from passing extremist anti-abortion plans. But we rely on your support to get this done. So will you please split a contribution of $28 between the Biden-Harris campaign and our re-election to help ensure we can pass national abortion protections?

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
